Altar Boyz

I have ignored Altar Boyz my entire life until now because I knew I could never be in it.

Listen: the music is pretty good, it's also pretty funny. It was not life changing. I was not like, "GET ME A TIME MACHINE BECAUSE I NEED TO GO BACK IN TIME TO SEE THIS!" However, if I have a friend who is in it, and I am available to see the performance, I will attend happily.

Did we really need another all-male show, though?

WHY THIS IS HAPPENING

I started my Musical Theatre Journey in 1996 when I was 13, during a time when people still had to buy CDs if they wanted to listen to music that wasn't on the radio. CDs of showtunes were $18+ and only available at a mythical place called Border's. As time went on, iTunes was released, and then YouTube, and I could buy or listen to musicals more easily, but I got way more into rock music and basically stopped listening to, or researching, any musicals.

In July 2015 when I realized I could listen to almost any cast recording ever made on Apple Music, I decided to start in alphabetical order (with the numbers first). This is my experience with every show, ever.
